At Kyoto Cycling Tour Project we hope that you have had a happy start to the New Year.

We would like to advise all of our customers that there will be a price increase for our bicycle rentals as shown in the table below, effective on 1st February 2024.

We have always tried our utmost to keep prices constant so that all of our visitors would be able to enjoy the historic city of Kyoto by bicycle at an affordable rate. In order to maintain the high-quality and safety level bicycles, we have always resisted cutting back on the standard of our maintenance and equipment. However, post-pandemic economic pressures have led to significant increases in bicycle maintenance costs as well as other operational costs.

As a consequence of the above factors, we have regrettably had to raise the prices for a number of our rent-a-cycle products in order to keep our commitment to our standards and quality of service.

Furthermore, from 1st April 2023, a change in the law has made it mandatory that ALL CYCLISTS make reasonable efforts to wear helmets while cycling on public roads. In complying with this law change, and to mitigate the effects of the change in rental prices, starting on 1st February 2024, helmets will be included in the price of the bicycle rental and will be available to all customers that request one.
